Dream diary

Collection made to visualize my dreams and the way I create, as in a diary. Surrealistic compositions and a dreamy color palette are supposed to evoke an atmosphere where I feel comfortable, as in my sleep.

In this work, I also connected the topic of self-destruction through astrological conjunctions and placements from my own chart. I chose these particular placements to emphasize our/my own need for self-improvement and perfectionism.

My midterm project is inspired by a soft 'forest fairy' aesthetic. I combine oil painting and installation with real preserved orchids. The work explores the theme of hidden self-destruction - the moments when we ourselves become the thing that keeps us stuck or pulls us down.

Like roots do to fairies in the essence of their own being.

The project also includes a playlist that viewers can access by scanning a code. It complements the atmosphere of the installation and helps deepen the feeling I wanted to evoke through the work.
